When Lindsay Lohan paid a visit to the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' in an episode that will air on Monday (March 31), she practiced an art that has been on display ever since her OWN docuseries, 'Lindsay,' has aired: honesty.

When the cheerful host asked Lohan about her six stints in rehab, the actress explained with candor what made her last experience the most significant.

"When I went to treatment this time, when I went to Cliffside, I really wanted a moment for myself and I learned a lot of different tools and things that I didn't in the past. In the past, a lot of it people don't know this, but I was sent to rehab to avoid … them trying to put me in jail," Lohan revealed. "So it wasn't something that I necessarily wanted or was ready for. It was something that it was kind of just going with the motions."

This time, however, was different.

"This was the first time where I went to Shawn Holley, my lawyer, and said, 'Look, I need some time. I need to figure something out,'" Lohan recalled. "It was through kind of meditation and learning different things, and just growing up as well and being like, 'I'm tired and I want to be working and all these other girls are doing this and I've been doing this my whole life'...and maybe, you know, that's what makes me happy. So I'm just going to do what I have to do to get there again."

And she is there again, collaborating with her brother on a clothing app and working on an upcoming Lionsgate film.

Lohan has no time for dating, she repeatedly tells the host, joking that her brother made her a Tinder profile from her Instagram account. But speaking of guys, Lohan recalled performing 'Over,' a breakup tune from her 2004 album, 'Speak' on 'Ellen' in the past.

"I was really nervous that day I remember...That was a really emotional song," the actress remembered. "I'd just broken up with someone."

When DeGeneres questioned who it was, Lohan was quick with the response: "Apparently there's a list of many guys," she responded, clearly alluding to her supposed A-list list of Hollywood hookups.

But Lohan soon came clean, revealing that it was about her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderramma.

"It was Wilmer...I was really upset, and that song I had written like the day after and we were still living together," she said. "I sang it in his house. Tortured him just recording the song so loud in his house…"

But enough about the painful memories. The past is in the past, and Lohan seems to be in a really good place right now. She moved back to New York, has managed to stay sober, and even has less paparazzi following her everywhere she goes.

"It's totally different now. It's strange," she said of the lack of paps. "I also don't put myself in the same situations. There is nothing left for me in going out to a certain place if I know what it's going to result in. It's just not worth it to me."

Glad to hear you're doing well, Lindsay. Watch another clip from her upcoming 'Ellen' episode below.
