It looks like someone loved Lupita Nyong'o's 2015 Oscars dress so much they just had to break into her hotel room and take it for themselves. According to US Weekly, the Calvin Klein dress was reportedly stolen from the Oscar winner's room, though the identity of the thief remains unknown. The dress most likely taken from Lupita's room when she was out for the day.

The theft was confirmed by someone from the Los Angeles sheriff's department, who told Us, "I can confirm a dress was stolen from the London Hotel that belonged to the actress Lupita Nyong'o. We believe it was taken sometime during the day yesterday (2/25). We are looking at every scenario; when the cleaners go to clean the rooms they do it with the door open so that's a possibility. Currently we are still investigating, detectives are interviewing and looking for witnesses."

The dress, which was custom made and is adorned with 6,000 pearls, has a value of $150,000. Lupita reportedly told police that she was out of her room between the hours of 8AM and 9PM the day it was stolen. Police are allegedly reviewing security tapes from the hotel in an attempt to find out who stole the dress. The hotel also commented on the situation, saying, "This is a terribly unfortunate situation, and we are working with law enforcement on their investigation."

Lupita presented the award for Best Supporting Actor at the 2015 Oscars, telling reporters that she was relieved to not be nominated so she could "just dress up and enjoy the show."
