'The Voice' coach Adam Levine left the safety of his big red chair and joined his Maroon 5 bandmates on stage to debut 'Payphone,' the lead single from their upcoming album 'Overexposed.' Halfway through the song, Wiz Khalifa stepped on stage to bring the uptempo love song home.

Levine is the second coach to sing on Monday night, following Christina Aguilera's sexy medley with her team. The new Maroon 5 song stood out on its own. "I'm at a payphone / Trying to call home / All of my change I'm spending on you," Levine sings during the chorus. The song is a love song, but audio problems made it difficult to understand Wiz Khalifa's role in it's entirety.

The hooky rock song included more than a few memorable lyrics. "I've wasted my nights / You turned out the lights / Now I'm paralyzed," Levine sings before later "Cause even the sun sets in paradise."

'Overexposed' is Maroon 5's fourth studio album, and Levine has previously said it's the band's poppiest. "We had a great time recording it. I can’t wait for our fans to hear the record, as well as hitting the road to play it live for everyone later this year.”

Look for 'Overexposed' to be in stores on June 26. Within moments after finishing his song, Levine was back in the red chair offering constructive criticism to contestants on Team Blake and Team Christina.
