Mary J. Blige hit the stage at the American Music Awards on Sunday (Nov. 20) with a soulful performance of 'Mr. Wrong.' The song appears on the singer's new album 'My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act I),' which hit stores on Tuesday (Nov. 21).

Dressed in an all-white tuxedo, Blige sang her yearning ballad with such force that it gave us goosebumps. The songbird was backed by a bevy of female dancers donning black miniskirts. Blige had everyone in the audience standing as they were engrossed by her testimonial of loving a bad boy. The only let down we saw with her performance was that Drake didn't hit the stage to recite his verses on the track. Not that Drizzy was needed, though, because Blige held it down all on her own.

After her performance, Blige gave a elegiac shout-out to her dear friend Heavy D. She and the late rapper were label mates at the now-defunct Uptown Records. It was a nice touch to an otherwise stellar performance by the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul.
