Miley Cyrus may be a teen queen but the singer is showing her appreciation of classic rock once again.

She's covered Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' in the past, and now Miley is going to record a cover of a Bob Dylan song for the upcoming tribute album titled 'Chimes of Freedom: Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International.'

Given the fact that Dylan is 52 years older than Cyrus  -- she'll turn 19 next month, in case you were curious -- this tribute set will be a curious case where the generation gap being bridged! While we applaud Miley for stretching her creative muscles and attempting a cover as ambitious as this, we somehow think it won't do much to curry favor with rock fans. They tend to not be too into the teen set. But that's okay. She will handle herself like a pro and turn in the best version of a Dylan tune that she possibly can. Perhaps it'll help open her young fan base up to a musical legend!

E! Online reports that the proceeds will be donated to Amnesty International.

Other artists that will appear on the set are of Miley's peer group. That is, they are pop stars in 2011. Adele and Kesha will also contribute their cover of Dylan's Americana folk classics.

Something tells us Dylan himself might be looking at the lineup of artists that have committed to covering his songs and ask, "Who?"
