Miranda Cosgrove’s Mom Also Injured Due to Bus Crash

Teen singer and actress Miranda Cosgrove wasn't the only one injured when her bus crashed Thursday morning. Her mother and the bus driver were also seriously hurt, according to a report from People.

"Miranda's mom was on the bus with her and got really beaten up by the crash," a source told the magazine. "She's expected to fully recover, but it's scary because the driver was hurt, too, and he's in really bad shape."

Cosgrove suffered a broken ankle in the crash. Those sleeping in the rear bunks were not hurt, but the 'iCarly' star was on a couch in the front of the vehicle. The source says the singer was "really shaken-up" but adds that she has been handling the situation well. Cosgrove had to postpone her upcoming Dancing Crazy tour dates after the accident.

It sounds like things could have been much worse. "This was a life-threatening crash," the source continued. "A piece from the tractor-trailer went straight through the windshield and the driver's arm was sliced all the way through." The driver is reportedly in critical condition.
