Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Purchase a Six-Bedroom Home in California

Nick Lachey and his new bride Vanessa Minnillo are well on their way to making room for a growing family in years to come. According to Realtor.com, the newlyweds have purchased a new $2.85 million home located in the heart of San Fernando Valley in Encino, Calif. The 8,000 square foot home was built in 1983 and has a total of 18 rooms, including six bedrooms and eight bathrooms.

The rooms in the Spanish-style estate all have vaulted beam ceilings, complete with fireplaces for a "rustic feel." The exterior of the home have extensive balconies, patios, and of course, a gorgeous pool.

Lachey and Minnillo exchanged vows this summer in a private, surprise ceremony on a tropical island on July 15 in front of about 35 guests. In August, Lachey, 37, told E! News that he and his beautiful bride, 30, were "doing everything" they could to get pregnant and start a family together.

"Trust me," he said, "It would make me very happy. Family is very important. It's very important to us, and I'm sure that will be around the corner."

Since saying "I do," Minnillo has also talked openly about starting a family with Lachey, updating her Twitter bio to: "Host by day, Wifey by night, Wanna-be Mommy all the time."
