Ed Westwick Under Formal Investigation by Police for Sexual Assault
UPDATE: Westwick has now responded to the claims, noting in an Instagram post: “I do not know this woman,” Westwick responded. “I have never forced myself in any manner, on any woman. I certainly have never committed rape.”
ORIGINAL STORY: Actor and Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick is now under formal investigation for sexual assault by the Los Angeles Police Department after actress Kristina Cohen alleged Westwick raped her three years ago.
The LAPD public information officer confirmed to Us Weekly: “Cohen came into the Hollywood police station to file a police report for sexual assault...Suspect is named as Ed Westwick. The investigation is ongoing.”
In a November 6 Facebook post, Cohen chronicled a night in 2014 during which she and her boyfriend went to Westwick's house for dinner, and said Westwick proceeded to act very strangely, and even propositioned the couple to have group sex.
Eventually, Cohen took a rest on a bed in the house, and when she woke up, she said Westwick had begun assaulting her.
Cohen said Westwick was suddenly "on top of me, his fingers entering my body. I told him to stop, but he was strong. I fought him off as hard as I could but he grabbed my face in his hands, shaking me, telling me he wanted to f--- me. I was paralyzed, terrified. I couldn’t speak, I could no longer move. He held me down and raped me."
