A scam artist is under investigation for allegedly posing as Drake's manager and organizing a fake show that swindled a South African promoter out of $500,000.

According to All Hip-Hop, Toronto police are currently looking for 41-year-old Andrew Wilson, a man who was reportedly associated with Drake in the beginning of his career. Wilson allegedly used old contract copies to book a phony Drake and Nicki Minaj show through a South African promoter, who said he wired $500,000 to Wilson as a deposit for the concert.

The money was wired to an account in Singapore and then transferred to a bank in Lebanon. Police suspect Wilson of putting the money into an account belonging to his 76-year-old aunt, who was arrested and is also facing charges.

Wilson was in police custody in early May and charged with 14 cases of fraud, falsifying documents and impersonation. However, according to All Hip-Hop, authorities are still looking for Wilson on two counts of fraud related to the bogus concert.

This isn't the first time Drake has been the victim of deceit. "It has been brought to my attention that false promoters and booking agents are illegally using my name and likeness to promote concerts and club appearances for their own financial gain," Drake told The Boombox last year. "I apologize to any fan that has been a victim of these circumstances or feels let down by false advertising."
