She is known for her serve, but Serena Williams wants to be a rapper! Williams is trying her hand at a new job and is trading her tennis racket for a microphone. That's right. According to TMZ, the tennis court superstar, who can also list fashion designer and part owner of the Miami Dolphins football team as credits on her impressive resume, is pursuing a career as a rapper!

Williams reportedly checked into a studio last week in order to work on tunes and lay down tracks with an assist from respected hip-hop producer DJ Clue.

Also, Williams, 29, has allegedly partnered up with a label owned and operated by Bryant McKinnie of the Minnesota Vikings. That's a logical match up, since both are athletes venturing into the music world and can grow and learn together, right? Judging from the people that Williams is working with, she is serious about this new phase of her career.

Rumor has it that Williams' rap skills are pretty decent, too! If she raps as good as she whacks a tennis ball, then this decorated tennis vet is going to reinvent herself in the music business rather easily.
