SISTAR vs. Apink: K-Pop Madness 2017 — Best Girl Group [Semi-Finals]
UPDATE: This round is now over. Vote for Apink in the final round now!
K-Pop Madness 2017 is a month-long competition on PopCrush to determine the best of the best of South Korean boy bands and girl groups.
This competition is seriously heating up: after well over 15 million votes (!), the first round of PopCrush's 2017 K-Pop Madness series comes to a close today (Mar. 10). And the winners of that first round? SISTAR, edging out S.E.S. by 70%, moving forward with 11,000 votes. Apink also moves into the semi-finals, successfully defeating BLACKPINK with 53% after 1 million votes. Great job all around!
But the battle is only heating up: it's time for the semi-finals.
Apink are K-pop veterans at this point, delivering hits since their 2011 debut. Their most recent release, December's Dear, included three duets sung by pairs of the girl group's members, as well as title track "'Cause You're My Star."
After debuting in 2011, the girls of SISTAR have made waves in South Korea and abroad, including a hilarious cameo on Family Guy. Following a collaboration with the iconic Giorgio Moroder, the girls are now preparing for a comeback in the first half of 2017 according to reports.
The battle starts now: place your vote between Apink and SISTAR. This round ends on March 20.
