Sky Ferreira to Release ‘Very Cinematic’ New Song and Film This Summer

Sky Ferreira is returning to us, thank God.

The Night Time, My Time darling, who recently confirmed that her upcoming sophomore record will be called Masochism, was lost in her bedroom again and fooling around on Twitter last night when she suddenly tweeted out of nowhere: "Track 1: ALWAYS THE WIDOW,NEVER THE BRIDE."

AMAZING! Or, well, not. She then dashed hundreds of dreams seconds later by following that up with one quick "Jk." Cruel! So very cruel, Sky.

Sensing that her fans wouldn't find the joke quite as amusing as she surely did, she came back seconds later with the good, real stuff we've been waiting to hear ever since she announced that she was setting out to record her follow-up LP last year: "Real news: new song/film will come out this summer. Directed by @grant_singer & written by both of us. It will be a VERY cinematic," she promised.

There's no such thing as Bad Ferreira music, and Cinematic Ferreira certainly sounds quite appealing, especially with her longtime collaborator Grant Singer in tow. But what kind of cinema? Horror? Rom-com? Spaghetti Western? All in one, perhaps?
