Now that Tyler, the Creator and Frank Ocean have achieved fame with successful solo records, who will be the next member of the Odd Future hip-hop collective to emerge as a star? Our money is on Earl Sweatshirt.

Earl just turned 19, but he’s already turning heads. Producer Om'Mas Keith says based on what he’s heard, the rapper’s next record will be huge. “Earl’s album is very special, very creative. There are some very special people on that,” Keith says. “I think Earl is definitely a contender for Best Rap Album of the Year next year for sure.”

Earl appeared on ‘Super Rich Kids,’ a track on Ocean’s acclaimed ‘Channel ORANGE’ album. Most of Earl’s live concerts thus far have been with other members of Odd Future, so SXSW will be one of the first big chances for him to impress a mainstream crowd on his own.

Earl Sweatshirt performs at SXSW 2013 at the venue Lucille on March 15, along with guests DyMe-A-DuZin, Joey Bada$$ & Pro Era.
