Led by Ed Sheeran, Jessie Ware, Emeli Sande, Rita Ora, Olly Murs and Tom Odell, the current crop of young British solo artists invading America is one of the strongest to cross the Atlantic in years. Another name to include in that group is Lianne La Havas, a 23-year-old singer-songwriter who dropped an appealing debut album last year featuring elements of rock, folk and R&B.

La Havas performs at SXSW on March 14 at Empire Automotive. She's no stranger to the live stage, having opened for Bon Iver and John Legend on American tours.

Her album 'Is Your Love Big Enough?' includes a variety of styles, from the energetic pop of the title track to the heartbreak of the ballad 'Lost & Found.' Another standout is 'Age,' which presents a jazzy sound inspired by Ella Fitzgerald and was written about a much older man La Havas dated.

La Havas has earned the praise of Stevie Wonder and Prince, which certainly makes her a must-see artist at SXSW 2013.
