Disney already founds its live action Aladdin, Princess Jasmine and Genie players—Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott and Will Smith, respectively—and now it seems the House of Mouse has found its Jafar.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney is currently in talks with Dutch-Tunisian actor Marwan Kenzari to play the nefarious sorcerer.

At 34, Kenzari, who appeared in The Mummy (2017) and Ben-Hur (2016), is a far cry from Disney's older, "twisted" version of the Sultan's Royal Vizier from 1992's animated musical—and boy, has the Internet taken notice of Jafar's glow up.

Twitter lit up with commentary on Jafar's reported casting, with Disney fans flocking to social media to unleash their thirst out of the proverbial lamp.

"Pretty sure I'm going to spend the entirety of the live action Aladdin on Jafar's side," one user wrote, while another joked, "Jafar had a shirtless scene in the animated Aladdin right? Asking for a friend."
