Tom Daley + Dustin Lance Black Got Married on ‘Downton Abbey’-Worthy Grounds
Hollywood's newest fairytale centers on an Olympic diver, an Oscar-winning screenwriter and an English countryside that rivals the grounds on Downton Abbey: Tom Daley and Dustin Lance Black are officially married.
The couple, who got engaged in 2015, confirmed in a pair of Instagram photos that they indeed, tied the knot on May 6 at Bovey Castle in Devon, England. A crowd of 120 watched the couple walk down the aisle in a pair of tailored suits, and looked very eager to cheer on their love.
"Thank you to everyone who made this weekend the most special weekend of our lives!" Daley wrote with his image, while Black captioned his shot: "So... what did you do this weekend?"
A rumor manifested after the ceremony that Black and Daley recreated a scene from Romeo & Juliet as part of the nuptials, but a source insisted to The BBC that nothing of the sort happened.
Daley first vaguely announced in a 2013 YouTube video that he was dating Black — the clip also served as his official coming out.
"Come spring this year my life changed massively when I met someone and they make me feel so happy, so safe, and everything just feels great and, well, that someone is a guy," he said.
