5 Seconds of Summer won the hearts of everyone at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards with their performance of their hit tune 'Amnesia.'

Introduced by 'If I Stay' star Chloe Moretz and Dylan O'Brien from 'The Maze Runner,' the two young actors spoke about being of the '90s generation of Beanie Babies and Hammer pants. They also called out previous VMA winners Green Day and blink-182, who they say were inspirations for 5SOS.

But rather than perform their raucous fun hit 'She Looks So Perfect' for their VMAs debut, they opted to perform their down-tempo love ballad, 'Amnesia.' Co-written by Ben and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte, 'Amensia' continues to climb the charts, having reached No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 at its peak.

After their VMAs performance, the boys will continue on the U.S. leg of the Where We Are Tour with One Direction.
