The Brits are sticking together! Adele is reportedly interested in collaborating with her fellow countryman George Michael on a song for his new album.

Michael, 48, had been flying under the radar much of 2012 while recovering from pneumonia, which forced him to table tour dates late last year. He is feeling better and getting back into the swing of things, working on new material. A source told The Mirror that Michael is in great shape and that he "is exercising all the time and [is] so enthusiastic that he is back in the studio." He is reportedly embroiled in discussions with his new pal Adele, 23, about working on a song.

The duo hit it off at the BRIT Awards, with Michael flying in from Australia and leaving his BF behind specifically to present the 'Someone Like You' diva with the award for Best Album for her gazillion-selling, critically adored '21.'

The source said, "It is no secret that he adores Adele. He even left his boyfriend Fadi Fawaz in Australia for three days while he flew in to present Adele with her BRIT. They’ve become pals since then and are talking about doing something together." That's serious business, leaving his man behind in order to hand Adele her award. G. Michael really loves and respects Adele!

Also, it's worth remembering that Michael is no stranger to epic collabs, having sang alongside the powerhouse likes of Aretha, Whitney Houston and Mary J. Blige during his career. He is itching to work with Adele due to their shared heritage. "He is very supportive of British talent and he likes it that Adele keeps it real," the insider said.

So how does Adele herself feel? The source revealed that the positive feelings are mutual. "Adele has been an admirer of George’s tunes for as long as she can remember and was so touched that George presented her Brit award," the source said.
