Candice Glover sang a passionate rendition of Ben E. King's ‘I (Who Have Nothing)’ on ‘American Idol’ tonight (March 13) – a tune previously performed by Jordin Sparks back in the days of Season 6. She brought the judges and audience members to their feet and proved that she has what it takes to be a star.

The judges have loved this charming South Carolina native ever since her ‘Idol’ audition, during which she crooned a sweet, powerful version of Duffy’s ‘Syrup and Honey.’ Her performance tonight was no exception, as she won them over easily with yet another excellent song choice.

“Gosh, I love you so much!” gushed panelist Keith Urban. Nicki Minaj chimed in with her enthusiastic two cents, saying, “That was actually my favorite performance that you’ve ever done.” She went on to call her “refreshing.” Randy Jackson expanded on the compliments given by his fellow judges and praised Glover’s delivery as one of the greatest performances on Season 12 of ‘Idol.’

Mariah Carey was equally impressed by her vocal abilities and striking stage presence. “At this point, all I can really say is every time you are onstage, it’s mesmerizing. I’m transfixed watching you.” She also commented on her versatility and fluidity.
