Meeting the parents was the least of the Bachelorette contestants' worries on last night's episode.

Amy Schumer (star of the genius "Girl, You Don't Need Makeup" parody) lent her stand-up expertise to the show's remaining contestants, who were tasked with writing sets that they'd perform for Kaitlyn Bristowe, a 29-year-old dance instructor. Some guys, like dentist Chris Strandburg, managed to keep a good sense of humor about themselves and the mission, while others — such as former investment banker J.J. Lane III — failed to locate their funny bones.

In the video above, the exceedingly cocky J.J. admits to Amy that it might be tough for him to connect with a crowd because he's "too smart for ninety percent of the audience," but the Inside Amy Schumer lead puts his worried mind at ease when she assures him that it's simply not the case.

"I hope it does comfort you to know that you're not smarter than anybody here," she says as a dismissive J.J. jots down a few new thoughts on a sketchpad. Words are not for the mincing, friends!

And though her delivery's stern, Amy insists she only wants the very best for Sir J.J..

"Maybe when he sees the show he'll reflect a little bit on himself and not be such a turd," she tells producers in a subsequent interview. Wise words, indeed...
