Angelina Jolie + Brad Pitt Reportedly Reach Temporary Custody Agreement
The site claims the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services gave the couple two options: They could take their custody fight to court or agree to several recommendations from the DCFS, instead. Jolie and Pitt opted out of a court battle, settling on a temporary agreement that will give Jolie physical custody of the couple’s six children for the next three weeks, while Pitt has been granted visitation.
The Benjamin Button actor's first visit with his kids, however, must be with a therapist, who can then decide whether Pitt will be allowed future unmonitored visits with his children.
Pitt also agreed to random drug and alcohol testing, though TMZ further reports his initial tests came back negative for both.
Further, Both Pitt and Jolie will undergo individual counseling as well as family counseling together, along with their six children.
This specific agreement will last until October 20th, at which point the DCFS could provide the former couple with a new set of rules or send their case to court.
Jolie first filed for divorce from Pitt last week (September 20), saying via her lawyer Robert Offer, “This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time."
