‘Arrow’ Co-Stars Colton Haynes and Emily Bett Rickards Pose in 1950s Drag for Vanity Fair

It's been only a few weeks since Teen Wolf and Arrow actor Colton Haynes subtly (seemingly) came out on a casual Tumblr post in response to a fan. Yet, it looks like the handsome 27-year-old is still keen on smashing expectations all around, this time with a chic gender-bending fashion editorial.

Posing for fashion photographer Tyler Shields, Haynes and his Arrow co-star and real-life friend Emily Bett Rickards don 1950s-inspired drag for a Vanity Fair editorial. In one fabulous photo, the actors pose together with Haynes in a tailored menswear suit and Rickards in a pink houndstooth jacket and skirt set. Roles get reversed in a second shot where it is revealed Haynes and Rickards have switched outfits, with Haynes in the pink skirt-set and Rickards in the grey suit.

In another black and white photo, Haynes completes his feminine look with a blonde wig and chic cigarette, looking very Jackie O. meets Marilyn Monroe.

Vanity Fair spoke to photographer Shields about his vision for the shoot, who explained, "If a person like Colton was to do something like this in the 50s it would have been a huge faux pas... It was when we were talking about shooting Colton in the vintage women’s suit that the idea to shoot Colton and Emily in each other’s outfits came up. I think it speaks a lot to the time we are in right now as androgyny is a two-way street."

He continued, "They [Colton and Emily]  made it very easy because they were not afraid to give me everything they had... it was perfect. You could really feel they knew each other and trusted each other, and that was amazing." Shields also revealed that the photos will be included in his upcoming photography book, Provocateur.

Based on these stunning images, something tells us Haynes' acting career isn't the only one that's destined to blossom. Somebody put this boy in a Tom Ford campaign stat!
