Bruno Mars is getting ready to drop his sophomore album, 'Unorthodox Jukebox,' and now the chart-topping singer-songwriter has released a brand-new song called 'When I Was Your Man.'

The beautiful piano-based ballad is muted by background noise, but still showcases the melodic wizardry for which Mars is known. Beyond the ever-present spinning reel sound, fans can hear the 27-year-old lamenting the loss of his latest love, realizing he should have treated her better when he had the chance.

He sings: “I should have bought you flowers and held your hand / Should have gave you all my hours when I had the chance." The chorus then reveals that his ex is now with another man.

'When I Was Your Man' follows 'Locked Out of Heaven,' the first official single from 'Unorthodox Jukebox.' In addition to the just-released tune, Mars has also unveiled 'Young Girls' and 'Moonshine' as promotional singles.

The Grammy-winning star's highly anticipated 10-song LP will arrive on Dec. 11, and features production work by longtime collaborators The Smeezingtons, Jeff Bhasker, Mark Ronson and Diplo.

"This is me going into the studio and recording and writing whatever I want," Mars told Billboard in his recent cover story. "This album represents my freedom."
