Love Is Dead, Part XVIXXV: Christina Milian and Lil Wayne Have Broken Up

Another celebrity couple has parted ways: Christina Milian and Lil Wayne are no longer dating.

Entertainment Tonight reports that the couple actually broke up in late August, just under a year after they first got together in July 2014. Back in May, Milian was gushing about their relationship and confessing that Weezy inspired her "Rebel" single.

“For me, I’m so inspired by the relationship that I’m in that it’s definitely an experience,” Christina told ET last spring. “It’s that careless, hopeless, romantic love – that feeling of ‘I will do anything for you’ and it’s just incredible and so yeah, ‘rebel for you’ means ‘I’m all about you.’" Milian previously dated Nick Cannon and The-Dream.

While there's no word yet on why the couple split, August was a tough month for Milian. In addition to the breakup up she suffered the loss of her infant nephew, as her younger sister Danielle's newborn son died shortly after his birth.

Still, life rolls on for both the rapper and the singer-actress-TV personality: The world awaits Wayne's Tha Carter V, while Milian has an EP dropping October 30.
