Ciara’s ‘Get Up’ with R3hab Is the First Hot House Track of 2016
The eternally underrated Ciara is perhaps most well known for baby-makin' bedroom bangas like "Body Party" and "Promise," as well as footwork-friendly anthems like "1, 2 Step" and "Work."
Now, she's taking it to the next level on the dance floor as the newest EDM queen on the festival scene.
If you'll recall, R3hab put a massive sweat-inducing spin on Ci's "I Bet" last year. The ATL Princess liked the remix so much, she put it on the deluxe version of Jackie — and even showed up on stage with the Dutch DJ during his set at Coachella last April to perform the scorching version of the tune.
At the time, rumors swirled that Ci and R3h did a song called "Get Up" together. And, at long last, the track's arrived.
During fellow Dutch DJ Nicky Romero's Protocol Radio show last night, the track made a sneaky debut, which you can hear at the 32 minute mark above.
"You better get up," Ci teases as the cool synths slowly fill out the speakers. "I don't care where you're from / I don't care where we are / As long as you give it all." The encouraging track builds and builds, eventually bursting into a bright, euphoric beat breakdown with the kind of pulsations that ought to have Ci back bending, hair flipping and generally burning up the stage in her usual manner during R3hab's next set.
"Get Up" set to drop on January 29 according to Spinnin' Records. You feeling Ci's House moment?
