Stars React to the Death of Heavy D on Twitter

Shockwaves are resonating through the music community this evening, especially among hip-hop's biggest stars, upon learning of the passing of Heavy D. Some of rap and R&B's hardest hitters, including Swizz Beatz, Nicki Minaj, Timbaland and Usher were all in shock over the sudden passing of the influential late '80s and early '90s rapper. Other musicians like Travis Barker and Joel Madden were also mourning Heavy D, who passed at the young age of 44. Both Ne-Yo and Estelle had just been with Heavy at an event in London and Nelly was remembering the great last memory he had of the rapper as he closed out this year's BET Hip-Hop Awards. Unfortunately, many were at a loss for words and truly saddened as a well-liked fixture in the music and rap communities was lost much too soon. Authorities are still looking into the cause of his untimely death. RIP Heavy D.
