The upcoming Hollywood remake of 'Endless Love' won't hit theaters until Valentine's Day 2014, but the movie already has a trailer featuring a haunting cover of the 1986 Robert Palmer hit 'Addicted to Love' by Skylar Grey.

The original 'Endless Love' from 1981 starred Brooke Shields and Martin Hewitt, with Tom Cruise making an appearance in his first movie role. The remake features Alex Pettyfer and Gabriella Wilde in the story of young lovers who encounter a series of obstacles. The trailer presents various scenes from the film, with Grey's cover giving the teaser an eerie, dramatic tone.

Grey's recording of 'Addicted to Love' has not been released yet but might appear on the movie soundtrack. The co-writer of Eminem's 'Love the Way You Lie' released a full-length album, 'Don't Look Down,' earlier this year.

The soundtrack to the 1981 'Endless Love' film is known for the title track, a classic love duet by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross that spent nine weeks at No. 1. Tina Turner and Florence + the Machine are among the other acts who have covered 'Addicted to Love' over the years.
