New Directions is in an empire state of mind. The cast of 'Glee' is currently shooting the season two finale in New York City, hitting landmark locations like Lincoln Center, Central Park, the Gershwin Theatre and Times Square, as evidenced by this Gleek-out-worthy snapshot.

The girls of 'Glee' are shown walking down the ruby-red steps behind the famous TKTS booth, surrounded by the lights of the Great White Way. But that's not the only stop on the filming schedule -- TV Line reports that Lea Michele and Chris Colfer filmed scenes at the Gershwin Theatre, home of the musical 'Wicked,' on Monday.

"I'm so excited about what we're about to do!!!!!!" Michele tweeted without spilling any secrets. While we're not sure how the plot line will incorporate the famed venue, we do know that the cast spent plenty of time at the Gershwin Theatre with newfound 'Glee' supporter Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

"New York is the city that is open to everyone from everywhere," Bloomberg said at a meet-and-greet with the show's cast and producers. "Greeks, Geeks, Gleeks -- we love them all."

Meanwhile, Dianna Agron, Chord Overstreet and Jenna Ushkowitz are expected to shoot in Central Park on Wednesday. More spoilers are likely to unfold, but one thing's for sure -- Agron is more than happy to be in the Big Apple. She gushed, "Filming in NYC is simply wonderful."
