Tennis, anyone? Greyson Chance and Taio Cruz are among the performers announced for the opening-night ceremony for the 2011 US Open, the final grand slam event of the tennis season.

Chance and Cruz will sing on Aug. 29 during the ceremony at Flushing Meadows in Queens, New York, the AP reports. The artists representing opposite ends of the pop music spectrum will both have new music to promote. Chance, a 14-year-old pianist, just released his debut effort, 'Hold On 'Til the Night,' while pop-soul singer Taio Cruz's 'Troublemaker' album is expected to see a fall release.

In what is sure to be an emotional moment, Grammy-winner Queen Latifah will lead a Sept. 11 tribute on the 10-year anniversary of the tragedy, which also coincides with the final day of the tournament.

Electronic mash-up artist Girl Talk and adorable indie pop duo Matt & Kim will kick off the US Open celebration the week of Aug. 22 with performances in Manhattan. Actor Will Ferrell will also appear at the tourney, joining tennis legends John McEnroe and Jim Courier for a doubles match on Sept. 8.
