If you thought you'd heard every possible rendition of Taylor Swift's "Blank Space," we regret to inform you that you are totally wrong. Imagine Dragons put their spin on the hit song -- and it's kind of fantastic.

Taylor's version is an electropop dream. Echoe-y and filled with Taylor's witty lyrics, the original "Blank Space" is undeniably a force with which to be reckoned. Not only did the singer coin the slick "Darling, I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream," but she also released an equally epic video to accompany the song.

It's a tough act to follow, but Imagine Dragons were up for the challenge. We admit -- when we heard that they covered the song, we pictured an anthemic spin on the track, a la "Radioactive." However, the band took things in another direction, give a stripped-down performance.

Dare we say that's it somewhere between a slow jam and barbershop quartet? Imagine Dragons harmonize on the chant-esque vibe of the verses, which gives it that a capella feel. The instrumentation is minimal, letting the vocals take the lead -- and the vocals are fantastic.

We love the tension in Taylor's version, but there's something about the relaxed, effortless mood of Imagine Dragons' cover that allows us to see the song in a whole new light. It's pretty much everything we like in a cover.

And much like the surprise ending of Taylor's "Blank Space" video, Imagine Dragons unexpectedly (and awesomely) transition into another song at the end of their version.
