Jason Derulo Says Accident Brought He and Girlfriend Jordin Sparks Closer

It sounds like the Girlfriend of the Year Award goes to Jordin Sparks! Jason Derulo admitted there's a silver lining to his neck fracture: he gets to spend more time with his lady love, and she's taking great care of him.

"We are together," Derulo told PEOPLE. "She lives in Phoenix and she comes [to Miami] and takes care of me, brings me breakfast in bed and she'll go on walks with me. We've gotten closer because of my accident. It's awesome to have someone you can talk to and she's a wonderful person." She sure sounds like it! Derulo returns Sparks' favors, visiting her on set. How cute are these two?

Derulo fractured his neck while rehearsing for his world tour earlier this month, but has remained in good spirits -- thanks to Sparks, but also to his fans. “To all my fans, to all the blogs, to all the radio stations, to all the television stations, thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart," Derulo said in a video tribute to his well-wishers. " The outpour of love has been tremendous across the world and it’s been a real blessing to have people who really care and understand.”

Derulo said his recovery is going well. "I'm taking it one day at a time. It's been really eye opening. It's given me a chance to look at everything and realize how blessed I truly am."
