Jason Derulo

R&B singer Jason Derulo began his career when he was only 16, penning tracks for artists including Pitbull and Lil Wayne. Born Jason Joel Desrouleaux in Miami in 1989, he transitioned from behind-the-scenes hitmaker to hit vocalist when his debut single, ‘Whatcha Say,’ went to No. 1 in 2009. The following year, he released his self-titled debut album, which featured his next four singles, including ‘In My Head’ and ‘Ridin’ Solo.’ Famed for his acrobatic dance moves, Derulo broke a vertebrae in his neck during rehearsal in January 2012. The serious injury forced him to cancel his tour and he concentrated on songwriting for future projects. 2014’s ‘Talk Dirty’ is the American reissue of his third album, ‘Tattoos,’ and is his first to land in the top five on the U.S. album charts.
