Going! Going! Gone! The chopped-up Maybach vehicle that was used in Jay-Z and Kanye West's video for 'Otis' was sold for $60,000 at auction last week, reports Enstarz. The 2004 Maybach 57 was expected to fetch around $100,000-$150,000 from its original purchase price of $350,000.

While $60,000 is low price for a car that was featured in the Throne's cutting-edge video, the auctioneer at Phillips de Pury did warned prospective buyers that the mangled car was being "sold as a work of art, not a working vehicle."

That announcement probably made a few customers frown at purchasing the dismantled automobile. Nevertheless, it was snatched up in less than five minutes by an unidentified investor.

The 'Otis' Maybach went on the auction block as part of the New York Contemporary Art Evening auction with proceeds benefitting the Save the Children Foundation, which helps feed impoverished families in South Africa. “We are grateful to Jay-Z and Kanye West for offering up pop culture history to do good for children in Africa.” Carolyn Miles, President and CEO, Save the Children, said in a press release.
