Jenelle Evans, a cast member from the popular MTV show Teen Mom 2, was arrested yesterday (Feb. 24) after being pulled over for driving without a license. TMZ is reporting that she was booked and held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center where she remained for about an hour until she posted bond for $237.50 when she was then let out.

Once she was out of jail, Evans retweeted an explanation of the arrest that her friend posted. The tweet said, "Yall [sic] chill she paid a speeding tick [sic] 3 days late in 2013 &license was just suspended recently&she had no idea. It's cleared up It's all good." Evans later took to Twitter to write about the arrest herself, saying, "How r u going to suspended my license becuz [sic] a seat belt ticket was paid 3 days late back in 2013?!" She then tweeted again with further clarification in case anyone was unsure, writing, "Soooo the NC DMV suspends my license last month then doesn't tell me?! Niiiiice. Got my license back tho."

We're glad the arrest was for an infraction less serious than what she's been jailed for previously. In the past, Evans had been imprisoned back in April 2013 for heroin possession and assaulting her then-husband, Courtland Rogers, by allegedly hitting him with a piece of furniture. A few months after that, Evans was arrested again for attacking her boyfriend at the time, Nathan Griffith. She was also arrested in 2012 for "violating a domestic violence protective order."
