It's been seven days since news first broke that actress and comedian Jenny Slate and her husband, Marcel the Shell With Shoes On co-creator Dean Fleischer-Camp, had split after three years of marriage. Now, Slate's been linked to her co-star Chris Evans.

The pair -- who star opposite each other in the upcoming drama Gifted -- reportedly went on a double date with Evans’ brother Scott way back in March, reports US Weekly, at moderately priced Hollywood restaurant Magnolia, which has a 3.5 star rating on Yelp, FYI.

If you think the pairing seems a bit out of left field, you’re not alone. Slate admitted in a joint podcast interview with Evans last month that before meeting her co-star, she wasn’t sure they’d get along.

"I didn't know what to expect when I met Chris,” she told Anna Faris, who hosts the Unqualified podcast. "I was a little scared because I kind of felt like, Well, I don't know him. He's a giant man with huge muscles and he's Captain America. How could we ever connect?

"[But the] first night that we hung out, I was like, 'Wow, I could hang out with Chris for, like, 90 hours,'" she said.

Evans -- who sowed the seeds of their eventual union via Twitter back in October -- echoed the actress's feelings, saying, “Oddly enough, I’ve only known Jenny for a few months, which is insane to say because we’re like the same animal."

Slate and Fleischer-Camp decided to end their nearly four-year marriage after growing apart, according to US Weekly. A source told the site “it wasn’t a bad breakup,” which isn't necessarily true for those of us who liked them together.
