In Jessie J's newest single, 'Casualty of Love,' the British pop singer takes her usually sassy sound to a much more serious level. The song appears on J's debut album, 'Who You Are,' which is set for release on Feb. 25 in the UK, April 12 in the US.

Unlike J's previous singles, 'Price Tag' and 'Do It Like a Dude,' 'Casualty of Love' is a full-fledged love song. The singer's sexy vocals are heavy with emotion as J sings about the love that she believes is worth fighting for.

In the first verse, J sings, "We may not have all the answers / I know that we can change some of the things that are beyond our control / And the vision of us may be blurry / But use your heart to see / Just follow the beat, the rhythm will lead you right back to me."

'Casualty of Love' also features a doo-wop, R&B inspired beat, with a steady drum beat and melodic piano. The song's beat picks up as J sings the powerful chorus, with a piano break to bring the song full-round. As the song comes to a close, J soulfully sings:

"I will go down to the last round / I'll be your strength to find you when you get lost in the crowd / So I'll stand up tall, if by chance I fall / Then I'll go down as a casualty of love."
