Plug your ears, because the teenage girls are about to let out a piercing squeal. The planned director's cut release of 'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' is a go. This edition of the Justin Bieber film will be released this Friday, Feb. 25 for an exclusive, one-week run in 3D theaters throughout the US and Canada. The new version hits the multiplex just three weekends after the initial release, which is unusual and unprecedented. Tickets for this limited engagement go on sale tonight at 5PM ET.

This edition of the film is more fan-centric -- born off the cutting room floor, director Jon M. Chu began the process of editing the film and realized that he had a wealth of usable footage that wouldn’t make the theater cut. Some of the new scenes include the Bieb's friends and his hometown; songs and performances; and footage from fan premieres.

"I realized I had an embarrassment of riches when I was in the cutting room," says Chu in a statement. "This cut allows me to retain some of the best scenes from the original movie, while incorporating previously unseen footage and new material I shot during our extensive promotional tour on behalf of the movie."

"Justin's dedication to his fan base is unwavering and I was inspired as a filmmaker to attempt to provide them a unique experience that showed even more of his world," he adds.

The new film has a reported 40 minutes of new footage, with some scenes from the initial film being cut to make room for the new moments.
