Justin Bieber's 3D release, 'Never Say Never,' recently marked its territory as the No. 3 top-grossing documentary -- in Kanye's words -- 'of all time!'

Bieber is up against penguins and politics for the No. 1 slot -- 'Never Say Never' has grossed over $64 million to date -- 10 million shy of 'March of the Penguins,' and behind Michael Moore's 'Farenheit 9/11,' which roped in over $100 million dollars. Bieber did tower over Moore for the biggest opening weekend of any documentary ever, as he pulled in a whopping $29.5 mil in a few short days.

MTV reports that 'Never Say Never' could even earn the newly 17-year-old popster an Oscar nomination next year. "You'd be surprised at the caliber of people who came up to Justin at the Vanity Fair party at the Sunset Tower, most of whom had seen the movie and loved it," an unnamed inside source said. "There was even talk of putting it up for an Oscar next year in the documentary category. People appreciate that it's not just a kids' movie."

If Biebs were to earn a shiny gold man for his life story film, we're sure that would more than make up for the lack of Grammys in 2011.
