Looks like Kanye West, and not his fellow Chicagoan, President Barack Obama, will be representing the good old U.S. of A at the upcoming royal wedding of England's Prince William to his fiancee, Kate Middleton.

According to the Boombox, West will have the chance to rub shoulders (and let's be honest, possibly offend) a vast parade of dignitaries from around the world, including pop royalty such as Elton John and about 40 actual kings or heads of state.

The big event goes down on April 29 at London's Westminster Abbey, and the young couple were allowed to choose slightly over half of the 1,900 guest who will attend. Apparently, Prince William and his brother, Prince Harry, are both fans of hip-hop, as Snoop Dogg was hired to perform at William's bachelor party.

It's unclear if West will accept the invitation, what with him being so busy making a solo album, an album with Jay-Z, an album with John Legend, and performing at the NBA All-Star Game halftime show.
