Kaskade, born Ryan Raddon, called Chicago home when he was growing up. Though he actually resided right outside the city, in the suburban town of Evanston, Ill., he spent his formative years in the big city before becoming quite the jet-setter -- even before he actually became famous.

Raddon soon emigrated from the Windy City to Provo, Utah, where he attended Brigham Young University and learned to DJ in his dorm room in 1990. He then spent two years as a mission in Japan before transferring to the University of Utah in Salt Lake City in 1992.

Some eight years later, Raddon moved to San Francisco, where he nabbed both an A&R gig and a deal with Om Records. He released his debut single, 'What I Say,' in 2001, with follow-ups 'Steppin' Out' and 'Everything' scoring serious Dance Radio Airplay chart positions.

In 2006, Kaskade signed with Ultra Records and began working with deadmau5 in 2008. Since then, EDM has exploded -- and so has Kaskade's name, headlining the Ultra Music and Coachella Festivals as well as the Electric Daisy Carnival.
