Kelly Clarkson Covers Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’ Live
Kelly Clarkson is at it yet again! The first 'American Idol' winner -- is it safe to finally recognize Clarkson for her massive success without mentioning 'Idol' yet? -- covered another hit song, this time at the Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Penn.
“Oh my gosh, I love that song. But it kind of confuses me. Does it confuse anyone else?" the 30-year-old asked the crowd. “‘Before you came into my life I missed you so bad.’ Who did you miss? Because you didn’t know them?”
Perhaps that question would have been better asked to a miss Carly Rae Jepsen herself. Back in June, Clarkson tweeted a picture of her, Jepsen, and Justin Bieber doing their best 'call me maybe.' "Met @carlyraejepsen & @justinebieber at Ball in London," wrote the singer. "Both are so sweet! Here's our 'call me maybe' pose ha!"
The singer has been performing songs that fans have been requesting via her Twitter, and she has already covered everything from Eminem's 'Lose Yourself,' an act she considered "brave," to Katy Perry's hit ballad 'Wide Awake.'
