Lady Gaga is a modern Renaissance woman and she has added another gig to her overflowing resume: fashion and arts columnist for ‘V’ Magazine. Gaga tweeted the news, writing, "I begin next month as a Fashion+Art Columnist for @VMagazine. + I'll be resurrecting "TRANSMISSION GAGAVISION" episodes starting next week!"

Gaga appeared in the magazine's Fall 2009 issue, sporting futuristic blue shades, along with an overdose of bronzer and frosty pink lipstick. She also graced the cover of the publication’s Fall 2010 issue, where she dressed like a modern, living and breathing version of the Statue of Liberty, complete with a crown made of her own hair, alongside Marc Jacobs, one of the fashion world's most revered and pre-eminent designers.

Gaga will debut her first column in the mag's summer issue, which is available May 12. We cannot wait to see what Gaga muses about in the mag's hallowed pages.

'V' is also holding an illustration contest for readers to create their own rendering of Gaga to run with the first column. Interested artists should send an email their submissions to drawnthisway@vmagazine.com. The deadline to submit a portrait of Gaga is Sunday.

In addition to her roles as singer, dancer and Creative Director at Polaroid, Gaga is this generation's most visible arbiter of taste and this column will further cement her status a fashion trendsetter.
