Lana Del Rey Springs Onto British Vogue Cover

We're starting to think Lana Del Rey has classified or unsavory information on the people that pull the strings for the tastemaker crowd. Because she has only just released her debut 'Born to Die,' amid tons of criticism as a favored target of the haters, and she's already got a 'SNL' performance and a British Vogue cover under her belt.

It takes a pop diva years to collect such vaunted accolades but Del Rey is doing it at the front end of her career. She covers the March 2012 issue of British Vogue, looking all spring-like and pretty in pink and yellow.

Starlets vie to appear on the cover of the fashion bible that is Vogue, and this appearance could nab her endorsements from designers that want to dress her in their high end wares.

Del Rey looks fierce, posted to the side, offering a stare (no smile in sight) with a floral gem in her wavy hair. She could puncture skin with those red dagger nails -- and that three-finger ring is to die for! The image, shot by famed fashion photog Mario Testino, is arresting, thanks to LDR's ocean-blue eyes.

Del Rey is wearing a broderie anglaise blouse and collar by Louis Vuitton, according to the peeps at British Vogue.

Del Rey has a stormy Complex cover and a bloodied Q cover on her resume, too. She's appearing on covers with the kind of frequency normally reserved for the likes of Gaga or Beyonce.
