Miley Cyrus Rejoins Twitter
She's baaaack! After a tweet-free year in 2010, Miley Cyrus has returned to the world of Twitter.
The 18-year-old television/music star left the mini-blogging site 'for good' in 2009, because she claimed it got in the way of her private life. But even a powerhouse like Miley can't escape the hold of the little blue bird.
About two weeks ago, before taking the plunge completely, Miley tweeted to her fans from her producer Rock Mafia's page. "This is my new way to connect," she said. "When I need to speak out I will tweet from @Rock_Mafia ROCK MAFIA FOREVER. x MC."
But just a handful of days later, a new account name -- 'gypsyhearttour' -- was created to push Cyrus' upcoming tour. "Follow us for special updates from the tour's Creative Director, Miley's Band & Dancers, and some special guest tweets from MILEY!" one of the first tweets read.
And it wasn't long before Miley was back holding the reins of her social media presence. On April 3, she tweeted: "Yo guys! Its MC! Thank you so much for my KCA! =] PS I am taking over the Gypsy Heart twitter! Gotta keep ya posted on tour <3 come see me!"
So why did the teen singer cave and come back to the Twitter land, anyway? Cyrus says it was all for Charlie Sheen. ""Do not fear...the Sheenius is here!" she tweeted Saturday. "I'm not gonna lie. I came back to twitter for 2 reasons. My fans and to follow @charliesheen #winning."
