Miley Cyrus shows a willingness to poke fun at herself in promotional clips released in advance of her hosting gig on 'Saturday Night Live' this weekend.

The 65-second video appears on NBC's website and includes four short comedic clips. In each, Cyrus is seated in front of a soundboard with cast member Kenan Thompson.

The promo that will probably have most people talking is the one in which Thompson asks Cyrus if she thinks hosting 'SNL' is cool. When she answers in the affirmative, he asks, "How cool?" She gives in and replies with a giant thumbs-up and says, "It's pretty cool!" This phrase references the 'SNL' sketch 'The Miley Cyrus Show,' in which Vanessa Bayer exaggerates Miley's accent and portrays her acting skills as less-than-stellar.

In another promo, Thompson asks Miley if she knows how to run the soundboard. She replies, "Of course I do" and adjusts two buttons on the board, which, to Thompson's astonishment, causes her voice to come out of his mouth.

Hopefully, the 'SNL' appearance will give the 18-year-old singer-actress a chance to have fun and forget the turmoil caused by her father's recent controversial comments about her to GQ.

The musical guests are NYC rockers the Strokes, who will perform songs from their new album 'Angles.'
