DJ duo NERVO just unveiled their collaborative track "The Other Boys," which features Kylie Minogue, Jake Shears of the Scissor Sisters and Chic legend Nile Rodgers, and it's the kind of upbeat electronic hit that disco-dreams are made of.

"The Other Boys" is an ode to unreciprocated romantic feelings, perhaps one of the most relatable scenarios -- not to mention one of the most commonly expressed in song -- of all time. But rather than lamenting softly about your sadness, NERVO wants you to scream about the injustice of it all -- on the dance floor, preferably.

According to Nylon magazine, NERVO said about the track, "This is as disco as we have ever been.” It's an updated, modernized twist on the genre, and their take on disco suits them. Kylie's and Jack's vocals meld together perfectly on the track, and the chorus’ pleading, “Why don't you love me like the other boys do?” is as frantic a statement as the pulsating synth beat behind it.

In case you're wondering how the collaboration came about in the first place, it looks like it was as simple as picking up the phone and asking each respective artist to be part of it. The duo said (via The Herald Sun), "We wrote the record and asked Jake Shears (from the Scissor Sisters) to be on it and he loved it, and we thought Kylie would be perfect so she jumped on as well. All we need now is Elton John.”

NERVO's debut album Collateral drops on July 24, but feel free to listen to "The Other Boys" on repeat until it does.
