Bobby Brown has announced that he will once again be getting back together with his New Edition bandmates. The group plans to go on tour and record their first album with the original lineup since 1996's 'Home Again.'

Even though Whitney Houston's former husband just released a solo single, 'Get Out the Way,' it seems his mind's already on future projects. According to CNN, Brown appeared on the TV talk show 'The View' to make a special announcement. On the show, Brown stated, "New Edition has gotten back together. Also, we will be doing an album sometime in the near future, and a big tour."

New Edition released an album entitled 'One Love' in 2004, with Johnny Gill once again filling Brown's shoes. Gill and Brown both appeared on 'Home Again,' but it is unclear if Gill will be involved in the new project.

Brown also spoke about his daughter Bobbi Christina and her singing abilities. Although Brown spoke highly of his daughter, the alleged drug scandal that she was recently involved in is still fresh in many minds. Brown also reported that he is engaged and has a brand new son, Cassius.

Referring to past troubles in his life, he simply stated, "I am just moving forward with my life and trying to stay positive." Of course, PopCrush will keep you up to date on any Bobby Brown and New Edition news as fast as we hear about it ourselves.
