Pink believes she's wouldn't have the career she has now if it wasn't for touring.

In a new interview with Billboard, the singer reflected on her nearly two-decade-long music career and got candid about why she feels lucky she's been able to maintain it for all these years. In fact, she's convinced it's all because she's good at touring. (FYI: Pink just wrapped up her record-breaking Beautiful Trauma World Tour after performing over 150 shows in the U.S., Canada and Europe and grossing over $397 million worldwide.)

"I don’t think I would still have a career if I wasn’t good at touring because I’ve never won at any other angle — I’ve never been the ‘it’ girl. I’ve never been selling perfumes or clothes or dolls," she explained. "I have really made a career out of keeping my head down and beating the pavement."

"This is the longest-running fluke in history," she added. “And I’m into it."

Elsewhere in her interview, Pink opened up about why she loves touring so much, admitting it's not about the money or the fame. Instead, her goal every show is to connect and inspire at least one person in the audience.

"I always tell people before we go out, ‘I don’t give a s--t about the what, I don’t give a s--t about the who, all I care about is the why — why we are here and why we are doing this,'" she said.

"We are going to be connected to ourselves and to each other," she continued." And we’re going to connect to the f---ing audience and the one person whose life is going to change tonight. Who’s going to feel like they have a place in the world. Like they belong. Like diversity is okay. Like being your true self is okay. Like being f---ing loud is okay. Like crying is okay. Like being not the best but feeling great is okay. It’s all f---ing okay. That’s what we do. That’s magic.”

As for the future, Pink said she's definitely open to a Las Vegas residency since it'll make it easier for her to balance work and family life. “Think about the show I could do in Vegas," she teased.
