Lately, it seems like Kanye West has a huge target on his back. Not only are the tabloids slinging critical darts at him for dating Kim Kardashian, the President of the United States called him a jacka-- in a recent interview. Geez, can Yeezy get some love?

Veteran rhyme-slinger Q-Tip has come to the defense of Kanye and feels that he is simply misunderstood. “Kanye’s not a jackass -- that’s my boy, I know him," he tells NYMag.

So why did President Obama throw Kanye under the bus -- twice?! The former A Tribe Called Quest frontman has a theory. "I guess the President is basing his comments on something I’m not aware of. Maybe Kanye beat him in dice and he’s mad," he quips.

LOL! We can't imagine Obama playing cee-lo with Yeezy in the White House. Nevertheless, we think Q-Tip wants everyone to stop nagging about Kanye.

As we reported earlier, Q-Tip inked with Kanye's powerhouse label G.O.O.D. Music. Under the pact, the rapper will released his fourth solo album tentatively titled 'The Last Zulu.' "I’m excited to solidify my working relationship with Kanye, and I look forward to all the opportunities that lie ahead in our partnership," Q-Tip said. "I will do my best to present the most cutting-edge music I can.”
