This summer it's all about the Boss -- Rick Ross.

The Miami rapper held a press conference on Wednesday (May 2) to update the media about the upcoming new releases on his celebrated rap label Maybach Music Group (MMG).

The event, hosted by veteran journalist and Rap Radar CEO Elliott Wilson, kicked off with a promotional film by Dre Films featuring Rick Ross and his whole MMG empire -- rappers Wale, Meek Mill and Stalley. The clip showed the incredible hard work his artists have done in the last few years.

Warner Music Group Chairman and CEO Lyor Cohen then introduced the man of the hour Rick Ross to the podium. The music honcho spoke about his love for hip-hop culture and the art form and his future plans for MMG.

Then Wale stepped onstage to announced that 'Self-Made, Vol. 2,' the sequel to the platinum-selling 'Self-Made, Vol. 1' compilation, will arrive in stores on June 26. The set's first single is 'Bag of Money' and the video premiered on BET's 106 & Park on May 2 (watch it here).

Afterward, the release dates for solo albums under the MMG’s label were announced. In order of in-store dates: MMG affiliate French Montana will drop his LP 'Excuse My French' on July 17, followed by Rozay's highly-anticipated album 'God Forgives, I Don't' on July 31. "This is my best body of work, yet," Ross said about his project. "It's next level." Finally, Philly spitfire Meek Mill will release his debut album 'Dreams and Nightmares' on Aug. 28.

But Ross wasn't done, yet. The rap honcho had another exciting surprise waiting in the wings.

Ross announced that he signed R&B crooner Omarion to Maybach Music Group. "Today I become a made man. Omarion aka Maybach O," said Omarion about the signing. The singer then added that his new single, 'Let's Talk' will come sooner than later. Oh boy!

The overblown 90-minute press conference wasn't without a few interesting guest speakers.

Reebok brand manager Swizz Beatz came through to support Ross and talk about his new sneaker partnership with Rozay. Swizzy said Ross represents the streets and the culture and was the perfect fit for Reebok.

Next was Diddy who wanted to salute Rick Ross on his non-stop work ethic. "He knows that hard work pays off," he said. The rap mogul also commended Ross on the success of his record label and the infectious chime that populates his songs. "Every time I hear that Australian [model] say 'Maybach Music' my d--- gets hard," he said.

Overall, the press conference showed that Rick Ross' Maybach Music Group is a world-class music empire. Expect Rozay and his rap soldiers to bring some major heat this summer. Ruh!
